Black Arrows is the solo project of Aliki Karveli, a Greek-born, London-devoured multidisciplinary artist whose work spans visual arts, 3D, music, and performance.
Through Black Arrows, Aliki crafts hypnotic soundscapes by blending diverse instruments, field recordings, and sonified objects with contact microphones. With a tactile – synaesthetic approach to sound, they use materials like bones, shells glass, metal surfaces, horns & antlers creating rich, organic textures.
Since 2021, Black Arrows has evolved, with performances ranging from structured compositions to dynamic, improvisational sound journeys. Aliki’s versatile setup includes frame drums, flutes, electric / acoustic guitar, synth, shruti box, singing bowls and more.
An exhibiting artist since 2018, Aliki’s recent solo show at The Crypt Gallery in October 2023 featured multimedia sonic ritual performances, deepening their commitment to immersive, multi-sensory experiences.
